I was an extremely smart , visually oriented but socially impaired child whose favorite outlet was drawing. As I got older, I moved into painting eventually studying art at Arizona State University. After college, I taught myself to use digital imaging software (2-D and 3-D), eventually becoming fluent enough to teach traditional arts & computer techniques at the college level.
I use many traditional 2-D mediums, such as pencil, pastels, inks, acrylics, and oils. I also explored digital media processes integrating digital and classic compositional techniques in my projects.
Anything that moves, speaks, or just sits there can inspire me. My biggest inspirations come from my wife, Ferne Kreinberg. People, animals, inanimate objects, or funny weird conflicting concepts can motivate me to create imagery.
